Zurc Announce 2 New Beers a German Kolsch with Avocado & a Guava Dunkelweizen

ZURC Bräuhaus Craft Beers the Coamo based nano brewery will be releasing two new beers early next week; Fiona an Avocado Kolsch and Guayabita a Guava Dunkelweizen 

Fiona

Named after Hurricane Fiona is an Avocado German Kolsch Style Ale that uses a a traditional base of original kolsch from Cologne, Germany with the addition of the pulp of 32 avocados that were knocked down during Hurricane Fiona at the home of owner Juan Criz’s grandfather. The avocados were cooked at room temperature with the addition of lemon juice, mint and coriander

Juan says that “the avocado gives the beer a creamy texture without sacrificing its light body. The final result is a beer with a luscious texture on the palate with tropical fruity malt-based themes from a kolsch”

Fiona has an ABV of 4%

Guayabita

Guayabita is a Guava Dunkelweizen brewed with Motueka, Mosaic, Nelson and Citra hops, with the addition of rosemary and rye. The result is a light beer with tropical flavors

Guayabita has an ABV of 4% and IBU of 30

Availabilty

Both beers will be kegged early next week, so watch out for them at your favorite draft beer spot that typical serves Zurc beers.
