I spotted that The Beer Box has received several beers from Slo Brew, so I am hoping that these are going to be available island wide. If not, you will have to grab them while you can at The Beer Box.
SLO Brew opened its doors in 1988 in San Luis Obispo and has remained one of California’s longest standing brew pubs. In December 2015 they moved from their original Garden Street location to their current location at the Carissa building on Higuera Street.
SLO Brew beers that you will hopefully find here include:
Wave Wrangler (ABV.4.8)
Is a Session IPA made with heaps of heaps of Amarillo & Citra. The low alcohol content makes this a super sessionable IPA.
Reggae Red (ABV. 5.6)
A Red Ale inspired by California’s 90’s reggae movement. A mix of several different malts, three types of hops, a dash of hemp seeds makes this a crowd pleaser.
The Original (ABV. 5.0)
A Blonde Ale that has the perfect balance of malts and hops to create a refreshing, easy-going ale with a clean finish
Mustang (ABV. 7.1)
An American-Style IPA and one of the first beers from SLO Brew. Its aggressive characteristics make this a stand out West Coast IPA
Cali Weisse (ABV. 5.4)
A Heffeweisse with a west coast twist made.
Cali Squeeze (ABV. 5.4)
A Blood Orange Hefeweizen. This juiced up Heffe strikes a unique balance of sweet & tart
