Join the excitement as seven renowned Puerto Rican breweries: Cervezas Camacho, Boquerón Brewing Co., Cold Blood Brewery, Reina Mora Brewing Co., Boxlab Brewing Co. , Cervecera del Callejón, and Pura Vida Brewery, come together for the SabroCitra Challenge.
This innovative lead by Alberto Camacho mirrors the success of the Elixir Nórdico collaboration from 2022, with each brewery this time crafting a unique beer using both Sabro and Citra hops.
SabroCitra Beers
All seven participating breweries have produced their take on a SabroCitra beer. Here’s what to expect:
Cervezas Camacho: Session IPA that they dry hoped with Lupomax, Citra and Sabro. It has an ABV of 4.6% and Alberto says “it has a super light body and huge creamy aroma.”
Boquerón Brewing Co.: La Playuela Summer IPA 2024, brewed Row, English Malts, and Wheat and then added Sabro and Citra Hops
Cold Blood Brewery: Tropical Kolsch with Sabro and Citra in the boil and dry hopped with Sabro and El Dorado Hops. It has an ABV of 4.9%
Reina Mora Brewing Co.: Dry Hopped dark Sour Ale with Toasted Coconut and Pineapple. Sabro and Citra were used in the whirlpool and dry hopping stages. It has an ABV of 5.8%
Boxlab Brewing Co.: Pale Ale with lots of flavor and fermented with Nordic Yeast.
Cervecera del Callejón: Sour Ale fermented with Philly Sour Yeast and a grain base similar to an American Wheat with the addition of Sabro and Citra.
Pura Vida Brewery: A light and refreshing, well balanced beer with light notes of cookies, bread dough, mandarin and citrus fruits.
SabroCitra Release Tour

- June 29, Pura Vida Brewery, Cabo Rojo – 11am – 9pm with music by Cotto La Frecuencia and BBQ by Pitmaster Boly
