Reina Mora Brewing Co., Cervezas Camacho and La Manada Ribs V8 announced that their Smoked Beer Series are ready to launch. In celebration the guys will be having 3 launch parties:
- Saturday May 25 from 2pm @ Reina Mora Brewing Co. with music by Jenny Avile and food from Tavo’s Smoke & Grill
- Sunday May 26, La Grifería
- Saturday June 1, La Manada Ribs V8
Reina Mora says that The Smoked Beer Series are “inspired by the art of lighting a good bonfire, using materials such as Yesca (Tinder), Charamusca (firewood) and Brusca (larger logs), each one contributing its unique essence to the process.”
Yesca – Smoked Helles
Yesca (Tinder) is the first stage in lighting a bonfire and is crucial to the success of the fire and as such Reina Mora says that Yesca is “essential at our Smoked Beers Release Party. It is a German-style lager with “Beechwood” Smoked Barley, that is light in color with medium smokiness.”
Yesca has an ABV of 5% and will surprise you with its softness and subtle smokey notes.
Charamusca – Smoked Wheat Watermelon Ale
Charamusca is the next stage in getting the campfire going. It is the slightly thicker wood (Charamusca) that helps to sustain the fire. Reina Mora says “Just as Charamusca strengthens the fire, our Charamusca beer is an intense and delicious experience.”
Charamusca is a Pecan Wood Smoked Wheat Beer that was brewed with a twist of Watermelon Puree. It has an ABV of 7% and is well balanced between the Smoke and Fruity freshness
Brusca – Smoke Ale
Brusca are the larger logs used in the final stage of the campfire that provide the intense heat and robust flames. Reina Mora says “Just as Brusca completes the lighting process, our Brusca beer is the highlight of our Smoked Beers Release Party.”
Brusca is a strong American-style beer brewed with barley smoked in various methods. One portion in “Beechwood” wood to two portions smoked in La Manada Ribs V8 with Puerto Rican Rum Barrels. Brusca comes in at 8.5% ABV and will impress you with its smoky intensity and the marked presence of American hops.
All 3 of The Smoked Beer Series beers will be available at the 3 Release Parties: Reina Mora Brewing Co. (May 25 from 2pm), La Grifería (May 26) and La Manada Ribs V8 (June 1)
