The latest release from the Cabo Rojo based Boqueron Brewing Co. is La Garita Porter
This Porters name pays tribute to one of the most iconic sentry boxes of Old San Juan; La Garita. It is brewed with 2-Row, Chocolate Maltand a chin de Carafa, that produced a beer with “flavors and aromas of toast, dark chocolate and coffee.”
As an added twist Boqueron used “traditional North American hops that add a very subtle bitterness and slightly citrus nuances,” to this Porter.
La Garita Porter is a medium bodied, easy drinking, low alcohol Porter with an ABV of 4.7% and 30 IBU’s.
It is available now at their tap room La Cervecera Boqueron.
