Due to Military commitments, Hurricane Maria, the COVID pandemic, Ingeniero Microbrewery based in Manati has not been part of the Craft Beer scene in Puerto Rico since 2017
Fast forward to 2022 and that is all in the past as owner Xabriel Ortiz is back on the island ready to continue with the Ingeniero beers that Puerto Rican beer lovers will remember.
Already available is Son of a Glitch Pale Ale which you can find at Craft Beer spots around the island, including:
Pigs Beer Garden (Manati), Al lado (Arecibo), Cold Blood Brewery Tap Room (Quebradillas), Rincon Beer Co. (Rincon), El Tap (Santurce, San Juan), La taberna Lupulo (Old San Juan), Taberna Boricua (Hatoe Rey, San Juan(, La Esquinita (Bayamon) and Oktoberfest Aguadilla (Aguadilla)
Ingeniero Microbrewery year round beers will include:
- Son of a Glitch Pale Ale (6% ABV)
- Porter Rican Chocolate Porter (6.5% ABV)
- Mother Hopper Imperial IPA (8% ABV)
- Tamarindia Amber Ale (5% AVB)
Currently, they expect to be producing around 10 – 12 BBLs per month.
Xabriel also said that he will be working on new styles and to watch out for a few surprises.
