Congratualtions to Boquerón Brewing Co. and V. Suárez Co for reaching their first target of $3000 for the Puerto Rico Recovery Now Fund
(Press release) Boquerón Brewing Co. and V. Suárez & amp; Co. recently presented their first $3,000 economic contribution to support the Puerto Rico Recovery Now Fund of the Foundation Community of Puerto Rico.
During the months after Hurricane, a portion of the sales of the Boquerón Blonde Ale beer, in tin format, were destined to the fund. Puerto Rico Recovery Now Fund supports the communities in the center and west of the Island that were most affected by the passage of Hurricane Maria.
“We are very pleased to contribute to an initiative that promotes the recovery of our community. We thank our consumers and V. Suárez for their participation in this effort and we are committed to continue collaborating until we achieve our goal. “said Juan Carlos Torres, Master Brewer of Boquerón Brewing Co.
For her part, Mary Ann Gabino, senior vice president of the Community Foundation of Puerto Rico, said that “this contribution to the Puerto Rico Recovery Now Fund, established in the Community Foundation of Puerto Rico by a group of donors residing in the United States, will allow local non-profit organizations in the west area to continue to help underserved and vumerable communities in their recovery process. We invite the community to continue contributing so that our Puerto Rican brothers have a better life. ”
The campaign in favor of the Puerto Rico Recovery Now Fund will continue until the goal of $6,000 is reached. The participating establishments are identified with the official art of the initiative so that consumers know that with the purchase of the 12oz can of Blonde Boquerón yhey will enjoy an excellent Puerto Rican craft beer, and they will also be contributing to the recovery and reconstruction of Puerto Rico.
