The second release in Ocean Lab Brewing Co. Barrel Aged Series is Driftwood Brown Ale Whiskey Barrel Aged. This follows the release of Barrel Aged Ocean Lab Blonde Ale.
Driftwood Brown Ale, has been aged in whiskey barrels and meticulously matured for 6 months that gives the beer a “distinctive character, where the beer has absorbed the rich essence of the whiskey barrels”.
Ocean Lab says “you’ll find a complex beer due to the mix of roasted malt and coffee notes that come from the beer itself, along with hints of vanilla, oak, and a whiskey flavor coming from the whiskey barrel.”
