Boquerón Brewing Co. and distributor V. Suárez & Co. will contribute to the communities of the center and west of the island.
Boquerón Brewing Co.’s master brewer, Juan Carlos Torres was still celebrating the great reception his product, Blonde Ale, in Puerto Rico when the devastating hurricane María left a trail of destruction and helplessness on the island . Like many industries, Boquerón Brewing’s product was affected by the situation in which there are still many businesses in Puerto Rico struggling to survive.
However, this did not prevent him from mobilizing to help those most affected. Along with the beer distributor V. Suárez & amp; Co., Boquerón Brewing Co. started an initiative to support the Puerto Rico Recovery Now Fund.
During the Christmas season, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Boquerón beer will be used to support communities in the center and west of the island that were most affected by the hurricane. V. Suarez made a commitment with Torres to match the amount raised so that more people are benefited. This is in addition to the thousands of dollars that the Puerto Rican distributor has already provided in supplies, food, generators and cash to the victims of hurricanes Irma and María in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands.
“Since we started with this project to create a Puerto Rican craft beer, V. Suárez & Co. has supported and helped us in our growth. The fact that they are with us in this initiative means a lot to us because it reflects their commitment not only to their clients, but also to Puerto Ricans, “said Juan Carlos Torres.
The participating establishments will be identified with the official art of the initiative so that consumers know that with the purchase of the Boquerón Blonde Ale they will not only enjoy an excellent Puerto Rican craft beer, but they will also be contributing to the recovery and reconstruction of Puerto Rico .
