Today Cerveceria Del Callejón announced the launch of their new beer Masasamba Hazy Pale Ale a colabroation with Birriola, the popular craft beer spot in Ponce.
Masasamba Hazy Pale Ale is the fifth beer in the Birriola Collaboration Series and for this brew Cerveceria Del Callejón used a base of Barley, Oats and Rye, with Bavaria Mandarin Hops and fermented with Voss Kveik Yeast. The beer was conitioned with the addition of concentrated natural Puerto Rican guanábana (soursop) juice.
Cerveceria Del Callejón says that Masasamba Hazy Pale Ale is “slightly bitter, with a soft texture on the palate and the aroma and flavor of guanábana subtly intertwined with the tropical character that the yeast imparts”.
Masasamba Hazy Pale Ale is available now at Cerveceria Del Callejón in Old San Juan and should be available also at Birriola, in Ponce.
The other 4 beers in the Masasamba Series include:
- Masasamba Hefeweizen (Birriola & Senorial Brewing Co.)
- Masasamba Guanábana Sour Ale (Birriola & Cacique Brewing Co.)
- Masasamba Belgian Style Ale (Birriola & Boxlab Brewing Co.)
- Masasamba Guanabana Tropical (Birriola & Reina Mora Brewing Co.)
