Oskar Blues Brewery’s new summer seasonal, Fugli Yuzu & Ugli Fruit IPA, is a Mosaic hopped India Pale Ale brewed with a trifecta of fruits.
“FUGLI was inspired by a collaboration with Japan’s Yo-Ho Brewing Company that everyone here loved,” said Head of Brewing Operations Tim Matthews.
FUGLI IPA has a 5.8% ABV making it a very drinkable summer beer.
FUGLI combines Yuzu an exotic, tangy looking lemon from Japan, Ugli a tangerine-and-grapefruit flavor fruit from Jamaica and Rangpur a lemon and orange hybrid from Bangladesh leading to a trifecta of citrus flavors,
“It’s crisp and clean, not too bitter, and not too fruity,” said Head Brewer Juice Drapeau. “The fruits play nice with the hops, and the malt bill lets the citrus flavors pop. It’s very drinkable – top of the list for outdoor day-drinking.”
FUGLI will be available nationwide May through August in 12oz. cans, six-packs and draft.
Oskar Blues Brewery beers are well represented here in Puerto Rico, so I’m expecting to see this on the shelves soon. If you spot it let us know in the comments below
